Language and gender(s):
Submit your questions now!
Hardly any other language-related topic polarizes opinion as much as gender-sensitive language. For some, it is “a question of morality,” for others, an imposition. But what does linguistics actually say on this topic? This will be discussed on April 29, 2026, at the Haus der Universität. However, interested parties can submit questions now, which will then be discussed on the evening of the event.

Taboo meets technology – endometriosis reimagined
The 16th forum will take place on May 6, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Haus der Universität (hybrid). Endometriosis affects millions of people worldwide – but diagnosis often takes years, and many suffer in silence. The event will show how new technologies can improve diagnosis and treatment and break down taboos. Experts from research and health tech will discuss how science and digital innovations are making endometriosis more visible and easier to treat – and what challenges remain.
