Basic information
HHU is represented via its official channels on the social networks listed on this page. We look forward to a lively exchange and welcome all interested parties. In order to ensure respectful interaction on social media, we ask you to observe the following rules:
Treat other users as you would like to be treated yourself. Always remain objective, constructive and fair by treating other users politely and respectfully.
Comments should be factually related to the topic of the respective post or comment.
Rules for HHU profiles
No discriminatory or offensive content is accepted, including content that propagates hatred or violence. This includes anti-constitutional, racist or sexist statements as well as defamation of minorities (based on origin, religious affiliation, nationality, sexual identity, gender, income, disability or age). Offensive, inflammatory, defamatory, pornographic, hateful, harmful to minors or otherwise unlawful statements will be hidden, removed and, if necessary, punished or reported.
Commercial messages, election or party advertising, calls for demonstrations, campaigns and petitions that have nothing to do with the topic of the post are to be refrained from. Comments that have been automatically/automatically generated (in particular bots) or are obviously part of a campaign can also be removed or their senders blocked.
Posts that violate these rules will be deleted by the editorial team. We reserve the right to permanently block users in the event of repeated violations.
Why is my comment not displayed?
We reserve the right to temporarily restrict or permanently block individual users who violate our netiquette. This may result in the comments of the persons concerned no longer being displayed under HHU posts. Although they can be posted, they are only visible to the author.
The measures described serve to protect a respectful and constructive discussion culture as well as the security of the platform. The aim is not to suppress critical opinions, but to ensure that all users can exchange views in a positive environment. The editorial team is committed to open communication and is available for questions and comments on these measures.
Complaints & requests
The editorial team will do its best to remove violations as quickly as possible and asks for your understanding should this not be possible. If you come across comments under posts that violate the above rules, please contact us immediately on the respective profile or by e-mail at kommunikation(at)hhu.de.
