The HHU card, i.e. your student ID card, can be reprogrammed at three machines (two at the Student Services Centre (SSC) and one at the University and State Library). The process takes just a few seconds and all you need to do is lay the card on the corresponding machine. From 18 March (at the University and State Library: from 25 March) to 31 May, you can complete this process at any time during normal opening hours (SSC: Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., University and State Library: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday/Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.).
Reduction in the semester fee
Another piece of good news from the General Student’s Committee (AStA) for everyone studying at HHU: “This change has enabled us to reduce the semester fee by €50,” says David-Luc Adelmann from the Committee. “Following long negotiations between the General Student’s Committee and the Rhine-Ruhr Public Transport Association (Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr) last year, everything has now finally been clarified and we will all be able to use our travel passes throughout Germany soon.”
