The UNIVERSEH team at the AGH University of Krakow invites 7 HHU doctoral students to participate in the Spring School on Space Resources and Robotics, which will take place from 11. to 15. May 2026.
The School on Space Resources and Robotics is a blended intensive programme for doctoral students in natural sciences with a passion for mathematics, physics, engineering, and space. Combining on-campus workshops, online collaborative projects, and hands-on experiences in robotics, planetary exploration, and virtual space missions, participants gain cutting-edge skills and knowledge.
The European University for Earth and Humanity (UNIVERSEH), is a European University Alliance funded by the European Commission. Starting from November 2020 UNIVERSEH is an Alliance of now 7 partner universities, spread all over Europe, that aims to create new higher education interactive experiences for the university community, teachers and students, and for the benefit of society as a whole.

The School on Space Resources and Robotics is a short-term mobility programme offered by UNIVERSEH, combining five days of on-campus activities with two weeks of online collaborative work. This intensive programme integrates space robotics, planetary exploration, and interdisciplinary collaboration, providing doctoral students with hands-on experience and in-depth scientific knowledge.
Successful participation is rewarded with a certificate and 3 ECTS credits, recognizing both the academic value of the programme and the skills gained through this unique international learning experience.
This school is exclusively intended for doctoral students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences who have a strong background in mathematics and physics, as well as a clear interest in engineering, space sciences, and robotics.
The programme is designed for candidates motivated to apply theoretical knowledge to advanced technological challenges in space exploration and robotics within an interdisciplinary and research-driven environment.
The academic focus of the School on Space Resources and Robotics covers a wide range of cutting-edge topics, including space robot design, operations, and applications, key challenges in planetary and orbital robotics, space debris removal and sustainability, virtual space missions, Moon and Mars geology, social robotics, and the development of cross-cultural collaboration skills. The learning format combines expert-led lectures and guided discussions with hands-on workshops and team-based project work, offering an immersive and practical approach to space research.
The integrated learning experience further includes meetings with industry experts, sessions in a VR laboratory, a guided walking tour of Kraków, and an optional pre-School survival Polish language course, ensuring a rich academic and cultural experience for all participants.
Your successful participation will earn you a certificate and 3 ECTS points.
The flight ticket from Düsseldorf to Krakow and back to Düsseldorf will be paid by UNIVERSEH. Accommodation in Krakow will be reserved and paid for by UNIVERSEH.
