Space entrepreneurship: from idea to venture

From 4 to 8 May 2026 in Luxembourg (Belval Campus)

Are you a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD student with an interest in space/entrepreneurship? Join Startech 2026 and gain the skills, tools, and network you need to conceive, develop, and launch a space start-up in a global context. You do not need to be studying anything space-related; we are looking for people from all backgrounds.

Startech 2026 offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation in space exploration — so join us! This intensive week in Luxembourg offers the chance to collaborate with international peers, earn 3 ECTS credits, and compete for the prestigious Startech 2026 Award.

This blended intensive program is designed to inspire and foster innovation in space exploration and technology. Kick off your journey with online introductions and interactive team-building sessions. An innovation week is being hosted at the University of Luxembourg in Belval (south of Luxembourg City), where experienced mentors will guide your creativity. It is a hands-on event that you can dive into.

The program ends with an exciting competition where your team's new ideas will compete for the Startech 2026 Award

Q & A

  • 15–30 April 2026: Three synchronous online sessions
  • 4-8 May 2026: On-site innovation week in Luxembourg (SKIP Pavilion, University of Luxembourg, Belval Campus, Luxembourg
  • 15-30 May 2026: Possible final synchronous online session

The Startech 2025 is open to students enrolled at the Heinrich Heine University in a bachelor's or master's programme, as well as PhD students from all backgrounds, with both STEM and non-STEM disciplines welcome.

You will benefit from excellent interdisciplinary training, combining practical workshops, inspiring lectures and exchanges between experts. You will also get the chance to discover Luxembourg, while earning ECTS credits towards your degree. 

Your successful participation will earn you a certificate and 3 ECTS points.

UNIVERSEH will pay for accommodation. As all students have a Deutschland Ticket and public transport is free in Luxembourg, no transport costs to and from Luxembourg will be reimbursed or paid in advance.
